Learning to Fly on the Way Down

Dear Reader,

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to learn something new only to realize that after a few sessions of practice with little progress, you decide to give up and go back to your comfort zone? Now, let me rephrase that question and be a bit more specific; Have you ever had a dream or passion that has been your lifelong goal but after some failed attempts at trying to achieve it, you decide to quit and persuit something more easier? Instead of chasing that ambition, you settle for a career purely based on 💰 money which you probably never enjoyed doing in the first place. Years pass and you eventually climb the ladder putting you in a better position and of course better salary…But if your sole motivation for doing that job is for the ‘mighty dollar’, than chances are you will be miserable for your entire life no matter how much money you make…There are a lot of people out there making big bucks who have become clinically depressed because they have commited to a job which never gave them fulfillment to begin with…You see, these people had an ambition, but they gave up on it at an early stage because of a few failures…not realizing that beyond those failures lies something incredible they never knew existed…The idea of failing scares so many people that they forget failure gives birth to success…Without it, you will never experience true success…

I came across this video at Youtube which presents a deep meaning of what I’ve been portraying here in this post…I hope it resonates with you as much as it did with me…

Before I end this post, let me refresh the last part of this video; “Learning to Fly on the Way Down…it’s never the fall itself but the idea of it that scares us…the ‘what ifs’ that corner us and lobby for our submission…What I’ve come to realize is that having no wings was simply my excuse…finding them was my solution”. And that my friend is The Obvious Truth.

May the truth set you free…
